FAQs
What is our return policy?
We offer a 30 day return option. Please see the Returns Policy section at the bottom of the page for more details
What are the shipping options?
We ship all over the EU and offer free shipping on all our products. Right now we are not shipping to the UK, France and anywhere out of Europe.
When will I receive my order?
Within Europe, parcels will be delivered 4-5 business days from the date of order. If you need the item quicker, you can select expedited shipping at the checkout for delivery in 2-3 business days, this however, will cost €5.
Where are we located?
Our business is located in Landsberg am Lech in Bavaria, Germany.
Where does the jewellery come from?
All our paua, greenstone, bone and wood jewellery comes from New Zealand. I am a New Zealander and I travel back to NZ for 2-3 months every year to visit my family and friends. While I am there I meet with my jewellery suppliers to keep up to date with their latest products and place new orders. I also do top-up orders at various times throughout the year whilst I am back in Germany.
Why are some items out of stock?
I do my best to keep our items in stock, but out of stocks do happen. It can take up to 3-4 weeks to receive orders from NZ to Germany (shipping and customs can take some time). If there is anything listed as out of stock on the website that you would like to purchase, please feel free to email me directly at info@giwistyle.de and I will be able to advise you of the expected delivery time.
What's up with the items in the jewellery “specials” catalogue?
The jewellery specials section of the website is where I list last-of-line pieces or pieces that have a not so perfect stone colour etc. All the paua and greenstone jewellery I receive is of fantastic quality, but sometimes the natural hughes of the stones can cause a colour variation etc making them look very different to the main product photographs. Therefore, I sell these pieces at a slightly lower price. They are beautiful and unique pieces.
Where are the slippers made?
Our slippers are from the well-known German brand “Heller Vertrieb” and are handmade in Germany. The wool comes from the World Wool Market and is predominantly Italian and New Zealand wool, but there is wool from all over the world in the mix. The raw wool is washed without chemicals and woven in a wool processing facility in Italy. The woven wool is then sent to Germany to be hand sewn into fluffy soft slippers.
What size slippers should I buy?
The slippers are double sized which helps make size selection easier. They are a wide fit and some of our customers tend to slightly size down when selecting. We use the European shoe sizing method.
How are the slippers coloured?
The slippers are made from 100% natural wool and no colour is used for the dark brown/black, grey and natural variations. Different coloured sheep wool is used to make the different coloured slippers. E.g., black sheep wool is used for the dark brown/black slippers.
Are the sheep harmed in the process of making the slippers?
Absolutely not!! Sheep grow wool in a similar way to humans growing hair. Once or twice yearly the sheep need to be shorn, as their wool gets too long. Wool is a beautiful natural textile that we can all appreciate, therefore both the sheep and us humans benefit from shearing.
I lived on a farm in New Zealand for many, many years with hundreds of sheep. Our sheep were shorn twice yearly. I have even done this myself. This is not a painful or stressful event for the sheep. Sheep can be left to shed their wool naturally, but there can be negative side effects to this, such as fly strike or dags.
Why do my products sometimes arrive in an Amazon branded shipping box?
As well as our website, we also sell our items on Amazon. As we have so many products in various sizes and colours there is not enough space for us to store all our items in our small office. Therefore, we store our items in an Amazon warehouse. When you order from our website I activate the shipment of your item from the wearhouse directly to you. I supply you with the tracking number and you can keep an eye on how far away your purchase is.
How do I get in touch?
Shoot me an email any time to info@giwistyle.de and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
