Paua Shell is found only in New Zealand coastal waters. According to Maori legend, Paua was a special gift from Tangaroa, the god of the sea. Paua Shell is the most colourful of all abalone shells and is prized for its vibrant and lustrous colour.

Paua is a mollusk renowned as a local seafood delicacy. The shell is prized for its lustrous colour. Maori traditionally use the shell within wood carvings. Paua is a natural product, therefore the colour may vary slightly from the image displayed.
